Beverly Tokumine, M.Ed., CRC

Beverly Tokumine, M.Ed., CRC completed her Master’s of Education Degree in Counseling and Guidance in Rehabilitation Counseling from the University of Hawaii at Manoa. She has worked in the field for the past 24 years and is nationally certified in vocational rehabilitation counseling and State certified as a Mental Health Counselor. As a team member at the Honolulu VMC office, she also services injured workers on the Islands of Hawaii. Ms. Tokumine provides vocational evaluation services to veterans with service-connected disability with the Veteran’s Administration. Her other specialty service areas include work as a vocational trainer and job developer. She has worked as an Expert Witness for Federal Court and the Employee Retirement System for the State of Hawaii.
Previously, Ms. Tokumine worked independently with private vocational rehabilitation counselors. She conducted and organized group and individual job seeking skills training programs for a variety of population from worker’s compensation, displaced workers, and clients from social services. Her understanding of the local job market and hiring practices has been instrumental in attaining and maintaining the exceptional placement rate achieved by the VMC team. She is a member of the Hawaii Injured Workers Alliance (HIWA), an organization dedicated to supporting injured workers. She is also a member of the International Association of Rehabilitation Professionals (IARPS), a professional organization for private vocational rehabilitation professionals.
